WHITE (Purity)
We desire to have purity and the righteousness of Christ's life in our lives. "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment." (Revelation 3:5)
GOLD (Excellence) Standard of measurement. The Pathfinder Band has high standards to help build strong character for the Kingdom of Heaven. "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich." (Revelation 3:18)
GREEN (Growth & Development) "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." (Proverbs 22:6)
THREE SIDES (Completeness)
Completeness of the God-Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Tripod of Education: Mental - Music, Physical - Camp outs, Physical Training, Spiritual - Parades, Witnessing, Church Activities.
SHIELD (Protection)
In the Scripture God is oftene called the shield of His people. "Fear not... I am thy shield." (Genesis 15:1) "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." (Ephesians 6:16)
WINGS & FLAME
Spreading the gospel be making a joyful sound unto the Lord.

Mission Statement
The Mission Statement of the Barbados Pathfinder Band is to foster a high standard of Discipline, Character Building and Music Development, and to be a major instrument in spreading the Gospel by making a joyful sound unto the Lord.
The Barbados Pathfinder Band was established to deepen the influence of the Christian message in the lives of the Adventist Youth; to educate members along lines which would assist in the proper development of the person spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually; to provide appropriate music for church and territorial activities; to train youth to develop their musical abilities; to encourage participation in outreach projects coordinated by the church and community-based organizations, and to develop a high standard of discipline amongst members.
